Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Will not play Wednesday vs. Spurs

Russell will not play in Wednesday's game against the Spurs due to a knee injury, Paul Garcia of Project Spurs reports.

Analysis:

Exactly how severe the injury is or when Russell suffered from it are currently unknown, but the assumption can be made that the Lakers are taking precautionary measures with their starting shooting guard with the season all but over and the team looking to improve their draft position. Tyler Ennis will start in Russell's absence Wednesday night and should have the opportunity to play some quality minutes in the contest.
