Thunder's Taj Gibson: Will not play Friday

Gibson (illness) has officially been ruled out for Friday's matchup with the Spurs, Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman reports.

Analysis:

Gibson was unable to participate in the team's morning shootaround, and was ultimately deemed a true game-time decision Friday. His absence should open up a starting spot for either Domantas Sabonis or Jerami Grant, while both figure to see increased minutes. Gibson's next chance to play will be Sunday against the Hornets.
