Lakers' Julius Randle: Collects double-double Thursday
Randle registered 12 points (5-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 13 boards, one assist and one block across 29 minutes in a 119-104 loss to the Timberwolves on Thursday.
Analysis:
Randle was back on the double-double train following a two-game dry spell, but it wasn't a particularly impressive achievement, given that he failed to hit half his shots from the field for the third game in a row. Despite his recent downturn in efficiency, Randle has made a sizable improvement in that regard over the course of his second full season in the NBA, raising his field-goal percentage a full five points from the ugly 42.9 percent mark he posted in 2015-16.
