Larry Bird, John Havlicek, Sam Jones, Kevin McHale, Paul Pierce, and, after Wednesday night ... Isaiah Thomas.

With his 20th point against the visiting Milwaukee Bucks at the TD Garden Wednesday, Thomas became just the sixth Boston Celtics player in franchise history to score 2,000 or more points in a single season.

During the dying seconds of the second quarter, the 5-foot-9 All-Star point guard ran the length of the floor, maneuvered his way through the Bucks' defense, and avoided getting blocked by the long arms of Giannis Antetokounmpo to complete an off-balanced left-handed layup to reach the scoring milestone.

Havlicek owns the franchise record for points in a season at 2,338, which he set back in the 1970-71 campaign.

Entering Tuesday's matchup, Thomas ranked third in the Association in points per game at 29.1 for the 48-26 Celtics, who recently took over first place in the Eastern Conference.
