Pacers' Lance Stephenson: To sign multi-year deal with Pacers

Stephenson has agreed to terms on a three-year deal with the Pacers, RealGM reports.

Analysis:

The contract looks to be guaranteed for the remainder of this season, as well as all of next season, and it includes a player option for the 2018-19 campaign. Indiana cleared a roster spot earlier Wednesday by waiving the injured Rodney Stuckey, and the addition of Stephenson will provide much-needed backcourt depth as the Pacers attempt to grab hold of a playoff spot. Stephenson, who spent his first four NBA seasons in Indiana, has since bounced around between five different teams, including stints with the Pelicans and Timberwolves earlier this season. Stephenson has been a shell of himself since leaving the Pacers in the summer of 2014, but the hope is that the man they call "Born Ready" will be able to recover the all-around abilities that made him a borderline-All-Star during his first Pacers stint. The 26-year-old will be postseason-eligible should the Pacers qualify.
