Pacers' Stuckey, Jefferson to miss next 2 weeks

Trevor Ruszkowski / USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers will be shorthanded in their playoff push.

Rodney Stuckey will miss the next four-to-six weeks with a left patellar tendon strain, while Al Jefferson will sit at least two weeks with a sprained left ankle, the team announced Tuesday.

To make matters worse, Glenn Robinson III will miss at least another week with his strained left calf. In all, the Pacers are short three rotation players as they cling to a low playoff seed.

Stuckey sustained his injury in Sunday's win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Given the oddity of his contract, the Pacers could potentially save themselves from paying his $7-million player option by waiving him before the postseason.
