Pistons' Reggie Jackson: Likely out Tuesday vs. Heat

Jackson is dealing with a right knee tendinitis and isn't expected to play Tuesday against the Heat, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.

Analysis:

It's entirely possible that Jackson won't step foot on the court again before the season comes to an end while he contends with a lingering knee injury, although coach Stan Van Gundy said the Pistons wouldn't commit to that plan just yet. Even if the 26-year-old does return at some point this season, he's unlikely to be worth rostering in most leagues, as his role has cratered since the beginning of February, culminating in his move to the bench earlier this month. Jackson's possible shutdown would clear the way for Ish Smith to hold down a 30-plus-minute role the rest of the way, making him an intriguing pickup in mid-sized or shallow formats where he's available.
