Cavs' Korver to miss at least 3 games with foot injury

USA Today Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without shooting guard Kyle Korver for at least the next three games.

The team has shut him down for the remainder of the week due to the left foot injury that cost him two weeks earlier this month, The Athletic's Jason Lloyd reports.

The scuffling Cavs had just gotten Korver back from his seven-game absence on Wednesday, but after three games, he found he was still experiencing soreness in the foot. He'll miss the team's two-game road trip against the San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls, and their subsequent home date with the Philadelphia 76ers, before being reevaluated by team doctors.

Meanwhile, the Cavs will be doubly thin on the wing as they try to right their leaking ship Monday night in San Antonio, as Iman Shumpert remains sidelined with a knee injury.

In 29 games with the Cavs since a midseason trade, Korver is averaging 10.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and one assist, while shooting 48.5 percent from the field and a bonkers 48.2 percent from 3-point range.
