Pacers' Al Jefferson: Out for a few days with ankle sprain

Pacers coach Nate McMillan said Jefferson (ankle) will be out for at least "a few days," Pat Boylan of FOX Sports Indiana reports.

Analysis:

The Pacers are set to play a back-to-back set Tuesday against the Grizzlies and Wednesday against the Grizzlies, and it appears likely that Jefferson will miss both of those games given that he's still in a walking boot and on crutches. For however long beyond those two games Jefferson remains sidelined, Rakeem Christmas is expected to step in as the primary backup to starting center Myles Turner.
