Pelicans' DeMarcus Cousins: Game-time call Sunday vs. Rockets

Cousins (ankle) didn't participate in the Pelicans' morning shootaround and is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt with the Nuggets, Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

The Pelicans had labeled Cousins as questionable after he tweaked his right ankle during Friday's loss to the Rockets, and his unavailability for shootaround casts further doubt on his status for Sunday. He'll likely be reexamined closer to game time, but if the Pelicans end up holding Cousins out, Dante Cunningham would likely move into the starting five. Along with Cunningham, fellow starting forward Solomon Hill would likely see a sizable bump in usage. When Cousins last sat out March 17 against the Rockets with a sore left knee and right rib contusion, Hill poured in a career-high 30 points to go with seven assists, six rebounds and one steal in 38 minutes.
