Cuban mocks Griffin's flop: 'We sent flowers to his family'

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was still fuming a few days after Blake Griffin's flop against diminutive guard J.J. Barea.

Cuban spoke to reporters before Saturday's loss to the Toronto Raptors and couldn't resist cracking wise about Griffin's gratuitous reaction to being shoved by someone half his size.

"I just feel bad for Blake," Cuban told Dwain Price of the Star-Telegram. "It’s hard to come back from a knockout like that."

"We sent flowers to his family - condolences. I can only guess that he’s going to be drinking through a straw for a long, long time, so our thoughts and prayers go out to Blake and his family."

In all fairness to Griffin, Barea did deliver a shot to the neck, which rightfully earned him an ejection, regardless of the size mismatch. But selling that contact definitely angered members of the Mavericks, who discussed the foul at length following Thursday's game.

Karma did eventually bite back at Griffin, however, as his Clippers fell 97-95 to the Mavericks.
