Heat's Hassan Whiteside: Expects to play vs. Boston

Whiteside (ankle) said he expects to play Sunday against the Celtics, Shandel Richardson of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Whiteside sustained the injury during Thursday's loss to the Raptors, but he's since downplayed the severity of the ankle sprain, and at this point his availability doesn't look to be in much jeopardy. That said, the big man sat out practice Saturday, so it's best to wait until the team officially updates his status at Sunday's shootaround.
