Joakim Noah's tumultuous first season in New York is about to get even worse.

The NBA will reportedly suspend the Knicks center 20 games for violating the league's anti-drug program, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Citing league sources, Wojnarowski reports that Noah tested positive for an over-the-counter supplement banned in the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement, but that a Players Association investigation found he hadn't "knowingly or willingly" violated the policy. In addition, Wojnarowski reports that the veteran center will serve 10 games of the suspension this season before serving the final 10 next season.

Noah, who's been sidelined since undergoing arthroscopic left knee surgery about a month ago, averaged five points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 22 minutes per game across only 46 appearances for the Knicks. The 32-year-old, who's played in only 75 games combined over the last two seasons, is in the first year of a four-year, $72-million contract signed in July.
