Kings' Tyreke Evans: Will rest Friday

Evans will not play in Friday's game against the Warriors for resting purposes, James Ham of CSNBayArea.com reports.

Analysis:

After undergoing knee surgery last season, Evans made his season debut on Dec. 15. He has seen his minutes restricted all season, and the Kings are opting to be extra cautious with the former Rookie of the Year, as they are not in the playoff picture. Look for Arron Afflalo to see a slightly heavier workload with Evans out, while Garrett Temple should see some extra run providing depth on the wing.
