76ers' Jahlil Okafor: Unlikely to play Friday vs. Bulls

Coach Brett Brown suggested after the team's morning shootaround that Okafor (knee) is unlikely to play Friday against the Bulls, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. "If you made me guess, he's going to be doubtful," Brown said.

Analysis:

The 76ers are officially labeling Okafor as a game-time decision Friday, but his lack of participation in shootaround coupled with Brown's comments suggest the team is leaning toward holding the second-year big man out for the second time in three games due to the sore right knee. Okafor was able to start and play 17 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Thunder, but he apparently bumped his knee in the contest. Given that the knee has been a regular issue for Okafor all season, it wouldn't be surprise if he missed games beyond Friday, which would potentially put Richaun Holmes' short-term fantasy value on the rise. When Okafor last sat out Monday against the Magic, Holmes started and produced 24 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 42 minutes. Holmes should make for an appealing DFS target once again Friday.
