Trail Blazers' Al-Farouq Aminu: Near double-double off bench Thursday

Aminu posted 10 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-4 FT), nine rebounds and two steals over 27 minutes in Thursday's 110-95 win over the Knicks.

Analysis:

Aminu logged the second-highest amount of minutes on the second unit behind Allen Crabbe and parlayed the opportunity into his best scoring haul since March 11 against the Wizards. The veteran forward had been mired in a scoring slump that had seen him post six straight single-digit point totals prior to Thursday. He'd notably taken four or less shot attempts in all but one of those contests, but Aminu was notably much more aggressive Thursday. He's maintained a strong presence on the glass throughout March despite the scoring downturn, as he's averaging 7.5 rebounds over 12 contests during the month.
