Heat's Hassan Whiteside: Plays well, sprains ankle Thursday

Whiteside (finger) tallied 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-5 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 30 minutes before exiting with a left ankle sprain during Thursday's 101-84 loss to the Raptors.

Analysis:

Despite playing with limited use of his right hand due to needing 13 stitches in his finger, Whiteside played up to his season averages. He also sprained his ankle during the game, though apparently believes it's not serious enough to keep him sidelined for Sunday's tilt against the Celtics, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Regardless, he should be considered questionable for Sunday until further notice.
