Knicks' Derrick Rose: Hurts right foot in Wednesday's game

Rose suffered a sore right foot in Wednesday's loss to the Jazz, but X-rays came back negative, Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Rose was able to return after picking up the injury in the third quarter, finishing the night with 17 points (7-12 FG, 3-3 FT), six assists and one rebound in 32 minutes. While it looks like his injury is only a minor concern, the non-contending Knicks could opt to hold him out of the second half of the back-to-back set Thursday against the Trail Blazers. Expect the Knicks to make an official call on Rose's status in the hours leading up to the 10:00 p.m. ET tip time, but if he ends up sitting out, Ron Baker and Chasson Randle would likely cover most of the minutes at point guard.
