Clippers' Chris Paul: Scores 27 in lopsided win

Paul scored 27 points (9-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT) to go along with eight rebounds, four assists and a steal across 25 minutes in Tuesday's 133-109 win over the Lakers.

Analysis:

Paul's stat line could have been much bigger but this game was essentially over at halftime, as the Clippers held a 30-point lead going into the third quarter. While the blowout did affect DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin's production, Paul was immune. It can be tempting to start players on a powerful team like the Clippers, but as the season winds down, coaches will rest their stars if they have the game well in hand. Of course, Paul is a must-start when he's playing, but in the final weeks you may see him resting--owners should monitor him for unexpected late scratches in the final weeks.
