Nets' Jeremy Lin: Out Tuesday vs. Pistons

Lin (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Pistons, Ron Beard of The Detroit News reports.

Analysis:

Lin is day-to-day with a sprained right ankle, but the Nets don't believe he'll be at risk of a long-term absence. He will be sidelined for at least one contest, however, leaving Spencer Dinwiddie in line to replace him in the starting five. Along with Dinwiddie, Isaiah Whitehead will also be in store for increased playing time at point guard Tuesday with Lin sidelined.
