The Los Angeles Lakers are finalizing a two-year deal with shooting guard David Nwaba which includes a team option for next season, league sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Nwaba has appeared in 10 games for Los Angeles this season, averaging 3.6 points, two rebounds, 0.6 blocks, and 0.3 assists on 48.1 percent shooting. The 24-year-old is coming off his best performance of the season, collecting seven points and five rebounds in Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 6-foot-4 guard should continue to see action in the Lakers' rotation with Los Angeles already mathematically eliminated from postseason contention.
