Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Scores team-high 20 in loss

Schroder posted 20 points (8-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six assists, three rebounds and two blocks across 31 minutes in a 105-90 loss to the Hornets.

Analysis:

Schroder bounced back from two consecutive bad games where he averaged just nine points on 20 percent from the field to lead the Hawks in scoring Monday night, but it wasn't enough to halt the team's four-game skid. Schroder's assertiveness offensively may have stemmed from Paul Millsap missing the game with a knee injury, and with Millsap already ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards, Schroder will have another opportunity to be the focal point of the Hawks' scoring charge in that game. Still, Atlanta's play-style favors ball movement over one-on-one scoring, which means there's no guarantee Schroder will be able to take advantage of Millsap's absence.
