Cavaliers' J.R. Smith: Will return to starting lineup in near future

According to head coach Tyronn Lue, Smith will return to the starting lineup once Kyle Korver (foot) returns from his injury, Jason Lloyd of TheAthletic.com reports.

Analysis:

Lue prefers to have a shooter come off the bench, which is the reason for Smith's recent move to the bench as he continues to comeback from a fractured thumb injury. Korver has missed the past six games due to a foot ailment but is nearing a return. Once he is cleared to take the court, expect Smith to rejoin the starting rotation, bumping Iman Shumpert back to the bench.
