Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis: Practices Sunday, expected to play Monday

Porzingis (thigh) took part in Sunday's practice and is expected to take the floor Monday against the Clippers, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

After missing the team's previous game Thursday against the Nets due to a left thigh bruise, Porzingis looks like he's coming along nicely in his recovery and should be back in action as the Knicks kick off a four-game road trip Monday. Assuming Porzingis is cleared to play following morning shootaround Monday, he'd likely replace either Lance Thomas or Willy Hernangomez in the starting five, though both players could be in store for playing-time reductions.
