The Atlanta Hawks have caught the injury bug just as the Eastern Conference playoff race has tightened, losing two starters in the process.

The Hawks announced Sunday that All-Star power forward Paul Millsap - who missed Saturday's loss to Portland due to left knee tightness - would miss at least the next two games, while swingman Kent Bazemore will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days after suffering a bone bruise in his right knee, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore.

Bazemore underwent an MRI Sunday after suffering the injury in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Atlanta sits fifth place in the Eastern Conference, but they're as close (three games) to eighth-place Milwaukee as they are to fourth-place Toronto, with the Hawks' next three games coming on the road against Charlotte, Washington, and the Bucks.

Millsap, the team's leading scorer, is averaging 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals in 34 minutes per game. Bazemore is averaging 11 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals in 27 minutes a night.
