Pistons' Jon Leuer: Expected to come off bench rest of season

Coach Stan Van Gundy said Friday that Tobias Harris would start at power forward for the rest of the season, likely meaning that Leuer will come off the bench for the team's final 14 contests, Jake Chapman of the Pistons Radio Network reports.

Analysis:

Leuer has mostly been serving in a starting role since Christmastime, but Van Gundy has rethought his top unit in recent games, deploying Harris in lieu of Leuer in three of the last four contests. Though Leuer was appointed back to the starting five in Wednesday's 97-83 loss to the Jazz, he was a relative non-factor in the contest, supplying seven points, five rebounds, one assist and one block in 30 minutes. Leuer's rest-of-season fantasy value isn't expected to take much of a hit with the lineup switch, as he's averaging 10.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 25.9 minutes per game over 34 appearances off the bench this season, compared to marks of 11.0 points, 4.9 boards and 1.6 assists in 28.1 minutes per game over 28 starts.
