Clippers' Marreese Speights: Modest playing time despite start

Speights drew the start at center for DeAndre Jordan (rest) in Thursday's 129-114 loss to the Nuggets but played only 15 minutes, providing eight points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt), five rebounds and one assist.

Analysis:

The veteran big man essentially saw the same amount of time he would have in his usual bench role, with coach Doc Rivers providing Brandon Bass with 24 minutes off the second unit. Despite typically modest minutes, Speights has proven capable of offering solid production relative to his opportunity time and again, so he remains an option in deep formats and as an occasional dart throw in daily leagues.
