Warriors' Stephen Curry: Rolls ankle, returns Thursday

Curry left Thursday's game against Orlando during the first quarter after rolling his ankle, but was able to return to the court in Golden State's 122-92 victory, Ron Kroichick of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. He scored 25 points (8-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT) with one rebound, nine assists and three steals over 28 minutes.

Analysis:

Curry missed just 2:39 of game time while be tended to in the locker room, but didn't move around too well upon returning. The Warriors won pretty convincingly, their first such win since losing Kevin Durant to a knee injury, so coach Steve Kerr was able to cap Curry's playing time. Curry didn't speak with reporters following the game but he did tell Kerr that the ankle was "fine." Nevertheless, you'll want to monitor his health leading up to Saturday night's home against the Bucks. He's managed to put some distance between the present and the rash of ankle injuries he dealt with early in his career, but we still get anxious when an ankle problem reoccurs.
