Watch: Ray Allen calls Stephen Curry 'the best that I've ever seen shoot'

USA Today Sports

Former NBA All-Star Ray Allen is undoubtedly an expert when it comes to shooting a basketball, serving as the league's all-time leader in 3-pointers made (2,973) and attempts (7,429).

Slowly but surely making his way to the top of both of those lists is Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who connected on a record 402 shots from behind the arc during the 2015-16 campaign. The Chef also leads the NBA in that department currently with 254.

Allen knows an elite shooter when he sees one, and as far as Curry goes, the reigning back-to-back MVP may be the best of all time.

"I think right now, from what I've seen, it's easy for me to say that he's the best that I've ever seen shoot," Allen said during an appearance on ESPN's "First Take" Wednesday morning. "I've seen some great shooters.

"I really put him in a category all of his own. The way he plays the game, being a point guard that can handle the way he handles the ball, and the way he can shoot the ball, and the way he shoots it."

Allen went on to add that he compares his own game and shot to that of Curry's teammate in the Bay Area, Klay Thompson, mainly because he's an off-guard who wasn't bringing the ball up the court.
