Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis: Doubtful Thursday vs. Nets

Porzingis (thigh) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice and is doubtful to play Thursday against the Nets, Ian Begley of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

In addition to suggesting that he expects Porzingis to sit out Thursday, coach Jeff Hornacek indicated the big man could be at risk of missing some of the Knicks' upcoming road trip, which kicks off Monday against the Clippers. Porzingis, who exited Tuesday's win over the Pacers with the injury, was unable to practice Wednesday, and at this point in the season, the non-contending Knicks may be more likely to err on the side of caution with their young star if he isn't 100 percent healthy. Lance Thomas will likely be the main beneficiary of increased minutes for as long as Porzingis is out.
