Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge: Cleared for basketball activities

Aldridge (heart) has been cleared to return to all basketball activities and will be available to play Wednesday against the Trail Blazers, the San Antonio Express-News' Tom Orsborn reports.

Analysis:

Aldridge had been experiencing minor heart arrhythmia, which kept him out of action for each of the last two contests, but after going through a series of tests, the 31-year-old has been cleared to return to full-contact activity. While the issue was never considered overly serious, it's still a major relief for Aldridge and the Spurs, who recently overtook the Warriors for the top seed in the Western Conference. Aldridge is expected to take back his usual spot in the starting lineup at power forward Wednesday and face no minute restrictions, making him worth activating for any fantasy owners who may have been stashing him on the bench.
