Mavericks' Wesley Matthews: Game-time decision vs. Wizards on Wednesday

Matthews (calf) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's tilt with the Wizards, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Analysis:

Following his early exit from Monday's loss to the Raptors with a right calf strain, Matthews is still experiencing some pain in his calf, putting his status in peril for Wednesday. Matthews was at least able to participate in shootaround Wednesday morning, so if he experiences no renewed soreness leading up to tip off, he could be cleared to play. If Matthews is unable to play, Dorian Finney-Smith or Nerlens Noel (knee) would be the most likely candidates to enter the starting five in his stead.
