Pelicans' Anthony Davis: Hopes to return after halftime Tuesday

Davis' (ankle) X-rays came back negative and he hopes to return to Tuesday's game against the Trail Blazers after halftime, Pelicans spokesperson Jennifer Hale reports.

Analysis:

Davis suffered the injury and headed to the locker room during Tuesday's contest, but it looks as though it will be nothing serious. Unless reported otherwise, look for Davis to return for the second half of the game. Although, with New Orleans holding a 16-point lead at the break, the team could remain cautious with their superstar if the game gets out of hand.
