Cavaliers' Kyle Korver: Could be out through weekend

Korver (foot) could be sidelined for a week or longer, Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reports.

Analysis:

Korver underwent an MRI over the weekend on the sore left foot, which revealed that he was dealing with inflammation of a tendon. The issue has prevented Korver from playing in the past three games, and the Cavaliers are already listing him as out for Tuesday's game against the Pistons. It seems likely that he'll also miss Thursday's game against the Jazz before potentially returning at some point during the Cavs' upcoming road trip, which kicks off Saturday in Los Angeles against the Clippers. The recent return of J.R. Smith from a fractured thumb has helped cushion the loss of Korver a bit, but the Cavs could still certainly use Korver's unparalleled outside shooting.
