Clippers' Chris Paul: Carries offense in loss to Jazz

Paul scored 33 points (11-21 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 6-6 FT) while adding seven assists, six rebounds and one steal across 35 minutes during Monday's 114-108 loss to the Jazz.

Analysis:

On a night when Blake Griffin, J.J. Redick and DeAndre Jordan combined for just 36 points, Paul carried the offense with a season high in scoring which he boosted with five makes from beyond the arc. This outburst came at the expense of some additional assists for Paul, who has now been below his seasonal average in that category six out of the last seven games. The Clippers are at their best when Paul is allowed to distribute the ball, but he is showing he can still dominate as a scorer if need be.
