Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Will come off the bench Monday

Russell will come off the bench for Monday's game against the Nuggets, Mark Medina of Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Coach Luke Walton mentioned in the pregame interviews that the Lakers were going try out some new lineups, so that explains this most recent move. Jordan Clarkson, who is starting over Russell, is coming off an impressive 30-point, eight-assist showing on Sunday, so he's earned the temporary promotion. It doesn't sound like this is a permanent move, however, and according to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com, Russell is still expected to see 30-plus minutes off the bench, so owners shouldn't worry too much about a drop in production.
