Kawhi returns to Spurs against Hawks

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Kawhi Leonard returned from a one-game concussion protocol absence Monday against the Atlanta Hawks.

Leonard was cleared from the protocol Monday afternoon after originally being hit in the face during Thursday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He sat out Saturday's win over the Golden State Warriors, a contest missed by all of the star players on both teams.

The Spurs' concerns now focus fully on power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who is out indefinitely with what the team called a minor heart arrhythmia. The Spurs haven't updated his status since Saturday, with Popovich calling the situation "scary."
