Bulls' Rajon Rondo: Moving back into starting five

Rondo will move back into the starting lineup at point guard Monday against the Hornets, Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago reports.

Analysis:

While coach Fred Hoiberg did not state if the move will be permanent, he noted that he's hoping Rondo will be able to spark a Bulls offense that's been especially stagnant of late. Chicago enters Monday having dropped its last five games, failing to top 95 points in each contest. Rondo, who has not started a game since Dec. 30, has been used consistently off the bench, but his production, outside of assists, has been too meager to warrant consideration in daily contests on most nights. The move back into the starting five could galvanize the 31-year-old, but considering his history of relatively drastic swings in productivity night-to-night, it's best to take a wait-and-see approach. With Rondo in the lineup, Jerian Grant will shift to the bench.
