Mavericks' Nerlens Noel: May suit up Monday vs. Raptors

Noel (knee) is hopeful to play Monday against the Raptors, Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. "I can do more [Saturday] that I did [Friday], so that's a good thing," Noel said. "I expect it to be even better [Sunday.]"

Analysis:

The Mavericks are listing Noel as day-to-day with the sore left knee, which prevented him from suiting up in the team's two games over the weekend. Noel will likely be reexamined at Monday's morning shootaround, and if it's determined that the swelling in his knee has sufficiently subsided, he'll likely settle back into his role as the team's top reserve in the frontcourt. Noel has averaged 10.0 points and 8.7 rebounds in 24.2 minutes per game in his six appearances with the Mavericks since being traded from the 76ers on Feb. 23.
