Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge: More tests on tap Monday

Aldridge (chest) is set to undergo further testing on his heart Monday, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Analysis:

After Aldridge experienced an occurrence of minor heart arrhythmia following Thursday's loss to the Thunder, the Spurs announced prior to Saturday's game against the Warriors that the big man would be out indefinitely while doctors look into the issue. It appears that Aldridge, who previously missed the final nine games of his rookie season after being diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and 10 days in the 2011-12 season due to a recurrence of the condition, will be treated with extreme caution, as the Spurs have no intention of playing him until he receives full clearance from doctors to do so. The tests should help shed some light on Aldridge's situation, but until he's able to return, look for David Lee and Pau Gasol to pick up some extra playing time.
