Joel Embiid thinks very highly of his teammate Dario Saric.

The Philadelphia 76ers center was the runaway favorite to capture Rookie of the Year until he was recently shut down after playing only 31 games.

There's a chance he could still win it, but other players are receiving consideration for the award, including Saric.

"The Process" responded Saturday to a video on Instagram comparing the three leading ROY candidates, saying Saric "is the real MVP."

Embiid averaged 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 2.1 assists in just 25.4 minutes per outing. Should media members vote for him to take home the hardware, the 22-year-old would become the ROY who's suited up in the fewest games ever - by a wide margin. Patrick Ewing won it in 1985-86 after playing in 50 games.

Saric is putting up 11.9 points, 6.3 boards, and 2.1 dimes per game for the Sixers. Those numbers are fine for a rookie - especially in the weak 2016 class - but not exactly up to snuff for the MVP conversation.

Oh well, at least he's the real MVP in Embiid's heart.
