Warriors' Draymond Green: To take Saturday off

Green will be sidelined for Saturday's tilt versus the Spurs in order to rest.

Analysis:

Coach Steve Kerr announced that Green, along with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andre Iguodala will rest against the Spurs following their fourth loss in six games Friday. It makes sense that Kerr will opt to sit his core players on the second night of a back-to-back set if he believes they are worn down. Look for David West to carry most of the load at power forward, while James McAdoo and Kevon Looney should also see much heavier workloads than usual due to the slim roster. Green should be fine to return Tuesday against the 76ers.
