Pelicans' Anthony Davis: Expected to play vs. Charlotte on Saturday

Davis (wrist) has been deemed available for Saturday's game against the Hornets.

Analysis:

Davis was forced out of Wednesday's loss to the Raptors in the second quarter after bruising his left wrist on the rim. He didn't return after the break, but X-rays showed no further damage to the wrist, and Davis indicated he felt fine Friday. The Pelicans are officially listing Davis as probable on their injury report, but coach Alvin Gentry's confirmation that the big man would be available Saturday should give those considering Davis in DFS no concern about rolling with him. For the most part, the injury-prone Davis has done well to steer clear of extended absences this season, but he has missed four full games due to injury and exited parts of 11 other contests with a variety of maladies.
