Rockets' Eric Gordon: Expected to enter starting five Wednesday
Gordon is expected to start at shooting guard Wednesday against the Jazz, Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
With Ryan Anderson (back) doubtful to play, coach Mike D'Antoni will need to rejigger the lineup, and it appears that he's leaning toward a three-guard arrangement featuring Gordon alongside Patrick Beverley and James Harden. Trevor Ariza is expected to shift over to power forward on the offensive end, though he'll likely shadow All-Star wing Gordon Hayward defensively for most of the night while Harden guards the Jazz's power forwards. The move to the starting five shouldn't have a dramatic impact on Gordon's minutes or production, though he could benefit from some more cleaner looks from outside while seeing some extra court time with Harden.
