Bucks' Greg Monroe: Leads bench in scoring Monday vs. 76ers
Monroe finished with 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds across 22 minutes during Monday's 112-98 victory over the 76ers.
Analysis:
With the Bucks leading 91-68 by the end of the third quarter, Monroe wasn't called upon for significant playing time, finishing with 22 minutes for the second game in a row. He also picked up five fouls, which didn't help his case for extende run. It's possible that Monroe's playing time from here on out may hover around 20-to-25-minute range, as coach Jason Kidd has thrown Spencer Hawes into the Bucks' center rotation over the past two contests. Hawes offers another dimension to the Bucks' attack as a floor spacer, so his presence could continue to cut into Monroe's workload. Despite the potential drop in playing time, Monroe is still bringing value in most mid-sized or deeper formats with averages of 13.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steal in 25.8 minutes per game over his last six appearances.
