Celtics' Amir Johnson: Sees downturn in production Monday

Johnson totaled six points (2-5 FG, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block over 24 minutes in Monday's 116-102 loss to the Clippers.

Analysis:

Despite Al Horford sitting out again Monday with an elbow injury, Johnson couldn't quite duplicate his strong production from the previous two outings, when he'd turned in matching 13-point efforts. Johnson's shot attempts were down from the respective seven and 11 he'd put in the last pair of contests, and he did not attempt a three-pointer after uncorking a total of seven shots from behind the arc against the Lakers and Suns. Johnson continues to be the most dependable in the area of rebounds and assists, but his scoring totals constantly fluctate between single and double digits, making him difficult to trust on a night-to-night basis.
