Bulls' Rajon Rondo: Out Monday vs. Pistons

Rondo (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pistons, Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago reports.

Analysis:

Rondo tweaked his right ankle during Saturday's loss to the Clippers, but was able to stay in the game after a brief stint on the bench. It seems he experienced some increased swelling after the contest, however, and Rondo will be confined to the sideline Monday in order to heal up. With Rondo out, look for Jerian Grant and Cameron Payne to take on most of the minutes at point guard, though Michael Carter-Williams could also reenter the rotation and see time at the position.
