Jazz's Hill, Johnson, Mack ruled out vs. Pelicans

George Hill is dealing with some soreness in his toe and has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pelicans. In addition, Joe Johnson (groin) and Shelvin Mack (ankle) have been ruled out.

Analysis:

The toe ailment isn't expected to be anything serious for Hill, and this is more or less just the Jazz giving their veteran a day off for rest. Hill will sit out Monday vs. the Pelicans, but should be back in the starting lineup come Wednesday's tilt with the Rockets. With Mack also out, the Jazz will be lacking for depth at point guard and will likely shell out the bulk of the workload to the likes of Alec Burks and Dante Exum.

Johnson will be sidelined for a third straight contest with the left groin strain, leaving Joe Ingles and Alec Burks on hand to absorb all the reserve minutes on the wing. The 35-year-old is averaging 8.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 three-pointers in 22.6 minutes per game on the season and doesn't hold much fantasy value outside of very deep leagues.
