Raptors' DeMarre Carroll: Sits out practice Monday

Carroll (ankle) sat out Monday's practice and his status is uncertain for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, Raptors radio play-by-play broadcaster Eric Smith reports.

Analysis:

Carroll exited Saturday's loss to the Bucks with a sprained left ankle and received treatment on the side during Monday's practice. The forward noted that even if he's cleared to return to the court in the near future, he may have to play through pain, which could hinder his effectiveness. P.J. Tucker and Norman Powell would take on extra playing time in any games that Carroll misses.
