Bucks' Spencer Hawes: Surprise contributor Saturday

Hawes scored 16 points (6-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT) while adding eight rebounds, an assist and a block in 17 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 101-94 win over the Raptors.

Analysis:

After not seeing the court at all in his first 11 games as a Buck, Hawes played just three minutes Friday but was surprisingly the first man off the bench for coach Jason Kidd on Saturday, and the veteran stretch four responded with one of his best performances of the season. It's impossible to predict what his role in Milwaukee's rotation will be going forward, but the team's next game is against the lowly 76ers and their depleted frontcourt Monday, so if Hawes does see even a handful of minutes he could be productive once again.
